New Release! Chant Compendium 8 with beautiful Gregorian chant

Regina Caeli

Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.
For He whom thou wast worthy to bear, alleluia.
Hath risen, as He said, alleluia.
Pray for us to God, alleluia.

V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
R. For the Lord hath truly risen, alleluia.

Let Us Pray
O God, who by the resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, hast vouchsafed to make glad the whole world, grant, we beseech Thee, that, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may attain to the joys of eternal life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

This Marian hymn is sung after Compline, in place of the Hail Holy Queen (Salve Regina) during Paschal time. Since the theme of Easter is the resurrection of Our Lord, we focus on this event even in our Marian devotions. The Church wishes to place different truths before our minds throughout the year, which is the purpose of the Liturgical Year. Dom Gueranger wanted Catholics to understand this, which is why he wrote the series of books by the same name. These books are highly recommended for Catholics to increase their love for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the many ceremonies of the Catholic Church.
