Vidi Aquam

Vidi aquam egredientem de templo,
a latere dextro, alleluia:
et omnes, ad quos pervenit aqua ista,
salvi facti sunt, et dicent, alleluia, alleluia.

V. Confitemini Domino quoniam bonus:
R. Quoniam in saeculum misericordia eius.

V. Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto:
R. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper,
et in saecula sęculorum. Amen.

This is sung at every High Mass on Sunday, in the Tridentine Rite (which was used by the whole Western Church up to 1962). Today, many Traditional and Conservative groups still offer the Tridentine Mass, and so this beautiful antiphon is heard in various Churches during Paschaltide (the Sundays after Easter). This antiphon is used instead of the Asperges Me until Ascension Thursday.

This is found on the following CDs: Chant Compendium 1, Chant Compendium 2, and Chant Compendium 3.
